I Almost Died for My Assumptions

Hi, lovely people. I love you. And I hope you are no longer in love with a God that you serve. For the service to God of your life will not yield what you expect. And the assumptions that so many of us have commonly made will not provide the doorway that we anticipate. For the kingdom—the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven—is within you. It’s not outside of you. It’s not what you achieve or where you arrive after you die.

I hope you’re not making a lot of assumptions that I made for much of my life. I made so many assumptions and I lived according to those assumptions. Those assumptions took hold of my life. My assumptions gave me a reality that was not reality at all. But I felt like it did. I thought it did. It seemed like it should. But there’s more to the story.

My name is Grace Cottingham in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. And I love you. And I know how to love you now, not because I’ve been to church or accepted the idea of some God or a famous person or espoused some theory, but because I met love within. And she showed me how to be intimate with her like man has never imagined, never told me. You see, I made all these assumptions growing up that everybody else knew more than I did.

I made the assumption that the Bible was true, that preachers had my best interest in mind. I thought the motives were always pure of the pastors, the preachers, the prophets. I made so many assumptions in my life that caused me such pain. I made the assumption that there was a God, and God’s will for my life was the most important thing because that’s what I had been taught. Predestination, whether you call it that or not, but there was this concept: foreordained, seek the will of God for your life. Oh, don’t marry the wrong person, find the right one! Make sure, make certain it’s God’s will for your life, God’s will. And that becomes torment trying to find—navigate this life to find God’s will. Where is it? Where is it? Where is she? Where is she? Where’s the one? What do I major in in school? Should I take this job or not? And all these decisions, I didn’t know how to deal with them because I didn’t have a framework. I was never given permission to go where man has never gone. I’ve never seen Star Trek; I like Star Trek. To go where man has never gone.

You see, I was never really—I never really connected with the concepts that brought me freedom until I began to investigate, to have an adventure where I no longer assumed the Bible is true or that God has a will for my life. And I invite you to not make those assumptions because they can be deadly.

You see, if you live according to your Bible, you are choosing to give up your life for a lie because you believe the Bible verse that says it’s appointed unto every person to die and then the judgment. And you believe there’s a judge, there’s an assessor, someone with a clipboard that’s kept track of all the infractions of the rules, and every time you had an evil thought in your heart. What a terrible way to live, expecting condemnation or exoneration, hoping to have enough faith to please God, working like hell trying to prove that God has blessed you with great prosperity, doubling down on your Prozac and all your antidepressants and all of your pharmakeia, all of your medicine to keep you going. To keep you enraptured in this world? My friend, there’s so much more!

Freedom, I bring freedom. I bring the message of freedom. I am a freedomizer, a freedomizer. And I give you permission to have an adventure with you without any, any intermediary where you begin to get to know the real you. And who am I? What authority do I have? I’m just an old man in Eureka Springs sharing my heart with you, asking you to not make the same mistakes I made in making so many assumptions where you think everyone cares for you. Or does no one care for each other? Or are we beginning to see a completely different story than the origin that was given us in Genesis Chapter 1?

Are you willing to have an adventure, an adventure? Are you willing to be an explorer? Are you willing to know more than you’ve ever known? If you’re not, if you just want to be a recluse in your belief system, you can do that. But the cost is very high; you will pay for it with your life. And you will assume it was old age or an act of God that caused you to die. But what if the reason so many die is ignorance? Because they assumed it was inevitable. They assume, you see. But is it? Is it really true? Just because it’s in the Bible, is it true? So many people say the Bible is true, truth. And the truth will make you free, right? Friend, the truth will never make you free. Truth does not make you do anything. When you begin to encounter what I call true truth, the truth of love itself, it doesn’t make you do anything. It won’t change your life.

In fact, if you begin to know the truth but interpret it like most people, making so many assumptions inadvertently, unintentionally, with unintended consequences, you’ll pay a high price. So many people, more than anything else, they want acceptance. They want to be valued for who they are. So whatever people group they find, they want acceptance, whether it’s a gang, whether it’s a religious group, a bowling group, a book club. They want acceptance. There’s this aspect of knowing and being known. There’s an aspect of communication and sharing.

I made so many costly errors. Simplest one: I assumed Jesus saves. Jesus saves! Because I had heard it for years and years, so many times. So many preachers preach the same message over and over and over again. Where’s the power of creation? Where’s the power at all? Where’s any power? So many people are mainly interested in exhibiting their power in order to curtail yours, and they draw their energy from convincing you to be powerless. And it gives them pleasure. Narcissists, gaslighters, expert manipulators, master orators, big-time preachers. What’s the message? Do they wash your feet? Or do they walk around in their arrogance and preach their certainty in order to convince you to conform your life to what they tell you is right?

I’m an old man. You know, I may not know what I’m talking about. I may just be a voice in the wilderness. But you decide. And I’m inviting you to the table of a banquet like you’ve never imagined. I’m inviting you to overcome many of your assumptions. I’m inviting you to begin to become sensitive to what you have assumed was right and thereby giving authority—by giving your authority away, giving your authority to what you believed was right. You believed what somebody said. You believed the pastor, preacher. You believed some government official. You believed, you believed, you believed! Did you analyze? Did you explore? Have you done your due diligence?

Years ago, there was a time when Bill Clinton wrote a book about his life, his presidency, whatever. And it was getting a lot of press. So I had this little, simple, simple, simple, simple little thought one day when somebody was—maybe they were on NPR, I don’t know—but back when that was being so touted, so publicized, I just had a simple thought. I thought, ‘You know, I could read the book. I could buy the book, I can read the book. Would I like to read the book, or would I just like to go to his house and sit down with him and have a drink, have a meal, and ask him about a lot of things?’ Such a simple little idea, thought. But it seems to me—and maybe I’m wrong, I’m not the Pope you know, I’m just an old man in Eureka Springs—but it seems like to me a whole lot of people would opt to read the book instead of going over to Bill’s house, sitting in front of the fireplace.

I use that as an example. If you just want to read the book, you can do that. And in so doing, probably—I’m asserting that no matter how careful you are, you will make many, many, many assumptions and not even be aware of all the assumptions you’re making, like the fact that this is the word of God, a supreme divinity, in the right translation with the right punctuation. Well, when so much of the stuff was written, there weren’t even capital letters! Or was it all capital letters? There was no lowercase and uppercase, there were no commas, no semicolons. Or do you know about how this thing was put together? And why do you make all these vows of faith? You assume you can’t please God without faith. Faith, faith, faith! ‘Oh, I’m trying to have more faith! Give me more faith, give me more faith!’ Well, you can laugh, but been there, done that. Said the sinner’s prayer, said the sinner’s prayer more times than I’ll admit.

I made the assumption people knew what they were talking about and that they were sincere. I looked for the best, I thought the best, maybe—maybe because my parents were so wonderful. My parents loved me, my mom and dad. Oh I’ve spoken about them a number of times. When I was growing up as a kid, I would go with my dad when he would go visit people. You see, my dad was a pastor of small churches. And back then, pastors used to go around and visit the flock. And I’d go with Dad. In fact, it didn’t matter where Dad was going, it never mattered to me at all, just so long as I was with Dad. And Dad had a great wit. So I’m very, very fortunate, because many of you, I know, had very difficult situations at home as you grew up. And we’ve all made a lot of mistakes, we make a lot of assumptions.

I am sitting here today asking you to begin to have an adventure with you, because you may not know you very well. I mean, not really. Of course, it’s easy to assume, ‘Of course I know me, I live in my skin, I have an awareness of a certain perception and thoughts, certain lifestyle, certain freedoms, certain limitations.’ But there’s more to the story. You don’t have to read the book to know the author. You can go next door, knock on the kitchen door and say, ‘Hey, what’s for supper?’

I have two kids, Amy and Christopher, both in their 40s now, gosh. They’re welcome in my home anytime. They don’t have to ask. They don’t have to pay for the food. I know what love is. I have a good idea about unconditional love because I have been taught day after day after day, where I have sat like this and documented—documented the conversations, the interactions. I have documented the questions that I’ve asked. I have documented the answers that God gave me, that unconditional love gave me, that the woman Christ gave me, that the feminine divine gave me, that I gave me. But I didn’t know it was I! I thought I was talking to God. I was willing to talk to God.

And yet as I sat day after day writing surrenderedly—now what do I mean by that? I write just like at this moment I speak. I am not limiting what I say to my neurons. I’m not limiting what I talk about to my intelligence. I’m not even limiting my lexicon, my vocabulary, the diction and grammar. My name is Grace Cottingham, Grace. Wow. Most of my life, it was Theodore Joseph Cottingham. But as I continued to come to the table, I continued to experience an energy. Oh, yeah, I could call it—’Oh, I experienced the Holy Spirit,’ or I could call it God, or I could call it the infinite invisible me. Or does it matter to you what I call it if IT exists, if something intangible, invisible, actually communicates with me? Would you like to know some of the things that I ask? Would you like to know some of the answers that I received? Would you like to know how gentle and how affectionate I am, is, the I Am, the I Am?

Oh, but if you want to assume you need faith to please God, you can try to exercise your faith and have enough faith to please God. You can seek to be a workman—a workman work, work, work, work, work—where you won’t be ashamed, where you can rightly divide the word of truth, right?

I’m inviting you to have an adventure like you’ve never had before. I’m inviting you to have an adventure like probably no one has ever told you about. An adventure that you cannot even imagine not having any limitations, where you can begin to ask God face-to-face, talk to God face-to-face. And if you don’t think you have the power, you’ve made a false assumption. What would please me more than my son who lives in another state to walk in my front door? My daughter?

When you’re willing to know what love is, where you begin to know, where you begin to experience love, first-person love, you begin to experience it, not read about it, not hear about it from some preacher, when you begin to quit making all the assumptions where you think you’re living your life but you’re really just an observer of it. You’re just an observer. And most of us assume we’re powerless because we don’t know how to walk on water, turn water into wine, feed the 5,000, raise the dead, because nobody’s told us. I’m asking you to find out the limits of your perception, not, but to begin to explore your quantum world, where you’re no longer assuming you’re ruled by protons, neutrons, electrons, organelles, quarks, pions, neurons, dendrites, axon hillocks, and all the things that make up your flesh body. There’s more to the story! There’s so much more to the story!

So I talk about a feast, I talk about the Table of One, I talk about knowing unconditional love and inviting you into an adventure. This is the School of Adventure and Exploration. This is the school with no limits. None! No limits!

Just because you don’t know how to go to Mars, Venus, Pluto, Andromeda, the Pleiades—have you ever asked? John 14:12 says if you believe in me, supposedly the words spoken by Jesus, words in red, ‘If you believe in me, you’ll do the things I do, and greater, and more.’ Feed the 5,000, feed the 4,000. Or do you know about that? Or do you—oh, yeah, you think a lot of that was in the past. You think it’s all history. You think all that stuff about Elijah and Elisha was just a bunch of historical records. You probably make the assumption, a very reasonable, rational assumption, that you’re subject to time, time, space, and gravity. Jesus showed you you’re not subject to time, space, and gravity. And what about The Day the Earth Stood Still, 1951 movie? Oh, I mean, right, back to the book. The Day the Earth Stood Still? The sun stood still? Or are you aware of it? Or do you know what this is, or are you willing to go inside, are you willing to meet the author and ask questions for yourself?

I’m inviting you to come to the Master’s Table, the Creator of all creators, the Creator, and sit down and have a meal. A meal! A conversation, an interaction. And if you don’t think this is possible, I invite you, regardless, to go to the website, the School of One website, meonics.one, meonics.one, and click on the little menu item that says ‘Search My Prophecies.’ Day after day, I wrote and I documented over 3,000 conversations, and you can search them online free!

But don’t expect it to be a database like Westlaw or some magazine. In the conversations that I document, there are times you will find punctuation used and diction and grammar very similar to what you might expect in the newspaper, but most of the time you won’t. In fact, there’ll be times you’ll encounter certain conversation with no capital letters, no punctuation. You see, I made the assumption as I was growing up that people knew more than I do and that their motives were pure and they knew what they were talking about. I probably can’t count the number of times I’ve heard someone in authority say, ‘Oh, God would never do that!’ or ‘God will always…’ Friends, be cautious about the word ‘always’ and ‘never.’

If you go to meonics.one, on my phone, you’ll see a picture, a little header image file. And you can, depending on whether you’re on your laptop, a tablet, or a phone, you can click the menu button. You’ve got a few options. And if you go to click on ‘Search My Prophecies,’ you may find that you have the opportunity to interact with your Creator in ways, fashion, and form that will not limit you.

And when you’re serious about love, love will be serious about you. When you’re serious about taking time, when you’re ready to have an adventure, you’re ready to go off the high dive, you’re ready to do something you’ve never done before, you’re ready to ask questions—are you willing to begin to learn who the Creator really is?

Most of my life, I thought I knew who the Creator was, where the Creator was—somewhere in the sky, some kind of amorphous whatever, intangible. But there’s more to the story, and you are not limited. But most commonly, the greatest limiting factor in your entire life is you, because all of us want to be right. We don’t want to look like a fool. But see, unconditional love will never shame you. Never, ever, ever will there be an insinuation of shame. And if there’s ever shame that’s involved in your conversation, you’re talking to the wrong God.

Perfect love casts out all fear. There’s no fear that when I knock on the door they’re going to open that door and smile and welcome me. If you ask for a fish, will you be given a stone?

You have the greatest opportunity that mankind has ever had. You, my friend, woman, man, boy, girl, no matter what your color, no matter the size of your bank account, no matter what your socioeconomic status is, you can communicate. You see, I’m not just telling you about a theory, I’m talking about my own experience that you can experience, where you come to the Table of One and experience a feast of magnanimous proportions out of this world that’s not limited to molecular food, but has something much more substantial, much more meaningful.

How do I know? Because I began to have an adventure, where I began years ago, over 20 years ago, I somehow began to have something in me where I knew there is more to the story. So for some years, I still attended church, you know, as a dedicated Christian, still went to early morning prayer. But I knew there was more to the story. And then I began going to early morning prayer from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., five days a week as was my custom, to a nearby little church chapel. I don’t think I ever really learned to pray until I started doing that. Oh, I thought, you know, kneel down, pray two or three minutes, you know, ‘Oh God, bless me, Mom and Dad, you know, my sister.’ But when you begin to be serious, your life will change. When you begin to be serious about you, when you are willing to be taught by the Creator, the Creator will never tell you to make an appointment. You don’t have to phone ahead for a reservation. You come as you are.

I am hoping to expand your leadership of you this day, to expand what you see your capability as, and to feel the invitation to a new way of learning where you no longer limit you line by line, precept by precept, the rote methods of learning, memorization, regurgitation for an exam.

I showed you meonics. meonics.one, click on ‘Search My Prophecies.’ There’s a little search box. You see a little search box, you know, you’ve seen them. A little text box to enter data. You can put in there ‘meonics,’ put in there ‘consciousness,’ America, England, Mauritania, South Africa, political leaders, books, movies. If you are willing to take the limits off of you, you can begin to sit at the table of the Creator and interact with the Creator. And if you don’t limit the Creator, the Creator will begin to teach you that you have never been separate. Holy smoke, what?! Wait, that’s not according to the Bible! ‘In the beginning, God…’ No! When you put this book between you and God, you forfeit your position, your power, and your ability to even know who you are.

When love begins to commune with you in tenderness, affectionately, so very respectfully, it’s unfathomable. And so many times, I would begin to weep. I have documented over 3,000 conversations that you can search scot-free. You can do a word search, put quotes around phrases. You click Enter, you’ll see a results page. And on the results page, every conversation has a number: a database number, a volume number, and a lesson number. I would like for you to know your power in order for you to create you, no longer subject to the assumptions that we have all made.

I would really like you to begin to explore falling in love, no longer with God, but falling in love with love itself! And the difference is actually polar opposite. The concept of God establishing a patriarchy and a set of rules, faith, assessment, appeasement, etc., is at the polar opposite end of what I’m talking about: sitting down with unconditional love, where the door is always open, where the table is always set, where no reservations are required, and you can come in, you can plop down, and you can begin to speak, you can begin to write, motivated by unconditional love, and learn things you never imagined within your power. And this is why I exist: to tell you about these conversations and invite you into them to have a meal! Have a meal! Take an hour, take a half hour, take whatever time you have. You can access these things now on your phone, a tablet, your desktop computer. Type in whatever you want to type in: ‘England’—81 results, 81 results! 81 conversations where England is mentioned. Every conversation is a PDF file. There’s a little bit of context right there, and if I want to see that, I just tap it, and there’s the file! And you can begin a feast. The purpose of these words are for you to begin to learn what’s available to you and to understand your power and your authority, and begin to release your word like this, as the Creator who no longer causes you to be in separation.

Over 3,000 conversations I’ve given you over a period of years. I began doing this 23 years ago. My name is Love, alias Grace Cottingham, scribe.

You want to study consciousness? Okay. Put in ‘conscious,’ ‘consciousness.’ Put in ‘the mind,’ ‘the spirit.’ Put in names, events. Thank you for sharing this time with me. Subscribe to this YouTube channel if you haven’t. I invite you to. I invite you to do things you’ve never done. I invite you to pick up your pen and write me. You write me at Box 34, Box 34 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, a little town in the Ozarks. I teach like this, not every day, but almost every day, very often about an hour. And I give you the transcript if you want it! And see, it’s a very different process, and it affects you differently when you choose to read the words as opposed to just hear me speak it. But you can go to the website, meonics.one, and you can—well, you can’t see it right here, but right on the website you’ll see a little floating box, a little black rectangle: Subscribe. You can go subscribe now and receive the transcript of this this afternoon, if all goes well. I send them out almost every day.

It’s time for you to lead. It’s time for you to create the school that you go through, where you are no longer limited to the curriculum of the past or the teaching methods of what’s been considered great institutions. This is where the curriculum originates within you, through your own mind, through your pen, so that you no longer vacillate in an ambivalence or contextualization of sorrow, to begin to have an adventure.

Thank you for being here, I appreciate your presence. My name is Grace Cottingham. I’m 75, and as I’ve said more than once, I’m trying to hand you the baton. I’m trying for you to understand no one can limit you in an educational system where you no longer limit you to the assumptions we made in the past. I’m old, my back hurts. I’m going to go. If you want to know more, you can write me, you can subscribe, you can study, you can ponder, you can ask! Begin to ask internally, and know that you will not be denied. Okay?

Grace Cottingham, meonics.one. I love you all. Share these words, begin your YouTube channel, begin a book club, have an adventure. Don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made. All the years my kids were growing up, over and over, I thought, ‘I don’t want them to make the same mistakes I make.’ So I taught. I talked. I took them with me. I shared my life. I talked about how to think, I talked about my values. meonics.one. Search the conversations and open yours with the Creator, who will never limit you again. Thank you. I love you all. Good day.
